Aurora Gaming won against BetBoom Team with a score of 2:0 in the quarterfinals of the IEM Cologne Major 2026 and advanced to the semifinals of the tournament. The match took place on June 18 at the LANXESS arena in Cologne.
The Turkish team confidently went through the series in two maps and did not allow BetBoom Team to impose a fight for the decisive game. In the group stage, Aurora Gaming also looked stable: in Stage 3, the team finished the distance with a result of 3-1 in series.
In the semifinals on June 20, Aurora Gaming will face FURIA, which previously eliminated 9z from the bracket. The match will start at 16:45 Moscow time and will be held in a best-of-3 format. The winner of the pair will advance to the grand final of the major, scheduled for June 21.
