Cache Returns to CS2: Map Overview, Key Changes and First Impressions

Almost three years after the release of CS2 - and more than seven years after being removed from the active map pool of CS:GO - the Cache map has officially returned to the game. An update called "The Return Of Cache" was released on April 29, 2026 and added the map to Competitive, Casual, Deathmatch, and Retake modes. None of the current cards from the main pool received a replacement: Cache appeared in the game without displacing existing positions in the rotation.
