On the night of May 22, 2026, Valve released a 1.7 GB update for Counter-Strike 2. There were 12 days left before the start of the first stage of IEM Cologne Major 2026, and the patch focused on tournament content: the game added a major hub, a spectator pass, a pickem system, a redesigned sticker store and a tool for creating souvenir items. Additionally, the developers have fixed a number of errors in the interface, observation mode and inventory. After activating the IEM Cologne Major 2026 pass, the player receives a Cologne 2026 coin and access to pickems. The coin improves for correct predictions and has four levels - bronze, silver, gold and diamond. For each new level, Valve awards 300 tokens, which can be spent on stickers or souvenir items.
