On July 6, the Dota 2 Esports World Cup 2026 will begin at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. The tournament will run until July 18 with a prize pool of $2,000,000. 24 teams will be divided into four groups of six, with a BO2 format in the groups. Group winners advance directly to the playoffs, while teams finishing 2nd to 4th enter the survival stage, and the last two teams are eliminated.
The main favorite from the CIS is 1win, which features the former roster of Tundra Esports: Pure, bzm, 33, Ari, Whitemon, and coach MoonMeander. The roster held the top spot in the EPT and retained a direct invite to TI 2026, transitioning under a new flag. Team Spirit is heading to Paris with coach Miposhka and the motivation to confirm their status on the international stage. Other participants include BetBoom Team, Virtus.pro, Aurora Gaming, Team Yandex, and PARIVISION with a new roster featuring HObbit.
From the rest of the world, Team Falcons deserves special attention — a regular participant in top events, Xtreme Gaming from China, and Team Liquid from Western Europe. PARIVISION will debut with an updated roster: the team has a week to gel, and Paris is their first serious test.
Team SpiritXParis is just a warm-up before The International.
