The former sports director of Tundra Esports, Alexander Sweetypotz Shcherbakov, commented on the recent transfer of the club's Dota 2 roster to the tag 1win Team. In his Telegram channel, the specialist explained in detail that the decision to sell the roster was difficult, but ultimately the only correct one given the circumstances.
According to Shcherbakov, the main reason was the current economy of the Dota 2 discipline and the shift in sponsor interest towards CS2. He noted that the search for funding for a tier-1 level team had been ongoing for four months and was unsuccessful.

Even with 5 trophies, 8 finals, and 3 Top-3 finishes for the season, in the current economy of Dota 2 and with the current demand exclusively for CS – finding anyone within the budget of a tier-1 team is practically impossible. The search lasted 4 months and was unsuccessful. A difficult, but unfortunately the only right decision was made, so that both the club could survive and all obligations to the players were fulfilled.

It is worth noting that during their time under the Tundra Esports banner, the roster achieved significant success. The team has five trophies to their name, including victories at the BLAST Slam IV, BLAST Slam V, DreamLeague Season 28, and ESL One Birmingham 2026 tournaments, as well as eight appearances in competition finals.
Upon transitioning to the new tag, the players retained a direct invitation to The International 2026. The current 1win Team roster includes Ivan Pure Moskalenko, Bozhidar bzm Bogdanov, Neta 33 Shapira, Matthew Ari Walker, and Matthew Whitemon Philmon. The first tournament for the team under the new banner will be the Esports World Cup 2026, which will take place in Paris from July 6 to August 23, 2026. A total of 24 teams will compete for the grand prize and a portion of the prize pool of two million dollars.
