The head coach of Team Spirit in the CS2 discipline, Sergey "hally" Shavaev, has reached out for the first time after being forced to miss the IEM Cologne Major 2026. The coach spoke about his current health condition and confirmed that he continues to actively assist the team remotely. A video with Sergey’s comments was published on the official channel of the Russian club on Telegram.
According to the specialist, his health is gradually improving, although the recovery process is not as fast as he would like.
Sergey "hally" ShavaevI feel fine. If we talk about the dynamics, then in the last few days it has been positive, but not as fast as I would like. Unfortunately, the chances of getting to the arena are low.
Let us remind you that hally was unable to attend the IEM Cologne Major 2026 with the team due to an emergency hospitalization a few days before the tournament started. The organization did not disclose the exact diagnosis; however, under the remote guidance of Shavaev and Dmitry "S0tF1k" Forostyanko, Team Spirit successfully made it to the playoffs of the championship. The major with a prize pool of 1.25 million dollars will last until June 21. We wish Sergey a speedy recovery!
