On Monday, June 8, the third day of the second stage of the IEM Cologne Major 2026 for CS2 took place. As a result, new participants for Stage 3 were determined, along with teams eliminated from the tournament.
The tickets to Stage 3 secured on this day were:
- G2 Esports (3:1);
- BetBoom Team (3:1);
- 9z Team (3:1).
Teams that finished their performance with a score of 1:3 have no chance of continuing:
- Astralis;
- MIBR;
- M80.
Earlier, Team Spirit and FUT Esports (both 3:0) had already advanced to Stage 3. The remaining six teams (Monte, paiN Gaming, Legacy, TYLOO, BIG, and B8) approached a balance of 2:2 and will compete for the last slots in the final game day of the stage.
Stage 2 of the IEM Cologne Major 2026 runs from June 6 to June 9. Matches in the first and second rounds are played in a best-of-1 format, while elimination matches and those for advancement to Stage 3 are in best-of-3. At this stage, teams are also competing for an additional $80,000 in prize money.
