Tournament operator PGL has announced a new major tournament for CS2, which will take place in China from April 14 to April 26, 2027. The prize pool for the championship will be 1 million. Additionally, the organizers have prepared an extra bonus pool of 300,000 for teams that rank highly in the VRS standings.
According to the program rules, each of the top five teams in the VRS rankings that accepts the invitation to the tournament will receive a bonus of $60,000. If one of the teams declines to participate, the right to the payout will pass to the next team in the rankings — this scheme will be in effect up to the 14th position in the VRS.
If less than $200,000 from the VRS Invite Bonus pool is distributed at a specific tournament, the unused funds will be directed to the Annual Viewership Incentive program, designed to reward tournaments for viewership performance.
Earlier, PGL announced the introduction of commemorative medals for the winners of all its CS2 tournaments starting in 2026. The awards will also be retroactive — medals will be awarded to the winners of PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026 and PGL Bucharest 2026 (Team Vitality and FUT Esports, respectively).
