The assistant coach of the Natus Vincere roster, Zhanna "Ryzhaya" Bat'kovna, published an extensive post on her Telegram channel criticizing the current direction of the Dota 2 discipline. She compared the atmosphere and functionality of both Valve games unfavorably for the MOBA project.
Zhanna Bat'kovnaI feel sorry for the discipline that I love. I came to a game where I could make a trade or sell items with one click, where I could check the profiles of both allies and opponents before the game - see the top-3 best heroes and their streaks, see the latest games played with them. I didn't need any banned programs. I feel sorry that new players don't even know that all the once-functional features in Dota could actually exist.
Bat'kovna also noted that LAN tournaments for Counter-Strike currently look much more atmospheric and impressive, while the infrastructure of Dota 2 suffers from constant functional limitations, broken matchmaking, and the absence of full-fledged in-game events like the classic Battle Pass.
