The player of the European team Team Vitality, Robin ropz Köl, shared his memories of his first major face-off against one of the leaders of Team Spirit, Danil donk Kryshkovets. In an interview on YouTube, the Estonian admitted that he would prefer to erase one of the toughest matches of his career from his memory.
This refers to the grand final of the IEM Katowice 2024 tournament, where ropz, as part of FaZe Clan, suffered a crushing defeat with a score of 0:3. According to the player, he was intimidated by the statistics of the young opponent before that match.
Robin ropz KölI don't remember if I played against donk before the official match. Before the final, I was scared of his statistics. People were saying match after match that opponents were donked. It happened to us too. He was killing one or two every round – to be honest, I would like to forget this match. But I know one thing – it was a tough final.
Currently, Köl, along with French sniper Mathieu ZywOo Herbaut, continues to prepare Team Vitality for the upcoming IEM Cologne Major 2026. It is possible that at this tournament, the Europeans will once again face Team Spirit and donk.
