Team Spirit analyst Denis Sikle drew attention to an unusual entry in the patch notes 7.41d for Dota 2. In a Telegram channel, the specialist noted that the change has no effect on the game and is likely a joke from the developers or a hint at future innovations.
SikleIn the 7.41d patch, Valve left a strange line for Axe, which means nothing in the context of the hero and provides no benefit. Health regeneration has indeed decreased: 2.5 => 2, and Sense of Foreboding does not exist in any game file or old patch. There are only a couple of guesses about what it could be: they forgot to remove the line while testing a new innate ability; hinting at an event related to Axe's clan; a traditional patch note joke, and the phrase simply means a sense of impending doom, as if Axe feels that his regen has been cut and this is just the beginning. In any case, the regen was reduced by 0.5 and nothing more.
The developers accompanied the nerf with the note "Sense of Foreboding increased from 0 to 0.5". In addition, the patch affected the balance of over 80 heroes and launched the summer season of the in-game event "Quarter's Oddities".
