100 Thieves may change their captain in the CS2 roster. According to HLTV's information from its own sources, the organization is negotiating with Monte for the transfer of Jack Gizmy von Spreckelsen.
The 22-year-old British in-game leader is expected to take over the captaincy from Havard rain Nygard. The Norwegian veteran, according to insiders, will remain on the roster but will transition to a different role.
Gizmy returned to the main roster of Monte in January 2025 after playing for the academy. With his participation, the team qualified for the IEM Cologne Major 2026 but was eliminated in Stage 3 with a record of 1:3. Despite this, Gizmy is considered one of the most promising IGLs in Europe.
Meanwhile, Monte is reportedly discussing a major restructuring, with the core of the roster potentially moving to Luminosity, which plans to return to CS2 after seven years.
100 Thieves currently ranks 42nd in the Valve Regional Standings. The organization has stated its goal of qualifying for the PGL Major Singapore 2026, and the current status quo, judging by the negotiations, is no longer satisfactory to the management.
Neither 100 Thieves nor Monte have officially confirmed the transfer yet.
