Astralis' CS2 coach Kasper "ruggah" Dyu summed up the team's performance at the IEM Cologne Major 2026. In a post-match interview, he acknowledged that the team was prepared for their opponents, but a plethora of individual mistakes in key rounds undermined their pre-tournament expectations.
Kasper "ruggah" DyuThe entire tournament was made up of small mistakes. The ideas were good, and we read the game correctly, but we lost moments that we ourselves created. Expectations were high: at least a third stage exit, but nothing came of it. We are still a young team: yes, it's disappointing to finish the major with a 1:3 result, but that won't overshadow the entire journey of Astralis in 2026.
Astralis concluded their journey in the second stage of the IEM Cologne Major 2026 with a score of 1:3. Earlier, a similar assessment was given by the team captain Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen, who noted the untapped potential of the five-man roster.
Let us remind you that following the third day of Stage 2, MIBR and M80 also exited the tournament, while G2 Esports, BetBoom Team, and 9z Team advanced to Stage 3.
