The esports organization Tundra Esports announced the suspension of plans to form a new roster for Dota 2. On social media, the club shared a change in its development strategy and talked about the future of the project.
Tundra EsportsRecently, we have seen many questions about the future of the tag, so we want to clarify the situation. Yes, Tundra is alive, but we are undergoing significant changes. At this moment, we have made a difficult decision: we do not plan to assemble or sign rosters in any discipline. We have come a long way together, our community is the best thing we have. We value you too much to simply close our social media and fade into the shadows. We are staying with you, but changing the format. From now on, Tundra is transforming into a media resource. We will create quality content for you: the main news of esports, memes, and other interesting materials. We are not saying goodbye to the industry, we will just be watching the tournaments with you – as spectators. Thank you for staying with us. There is a lot of interesting content ahead, stay tuned!
Previously, all players of Tundra Esports transitioned under the tag 1win Team, retaining a direct invitation to The International 2026. During their performances, the roster won five trophies, including BLAST Slam IV, BLAST Slam V, DreamLeague Season 28, and ESL One Birmingham 2026, and reached the finals of major tournaments eight times.
Let us remind you that the former director of Tundra Esports previously explained the sale of the roster by stating that it was the only right decision for the survival of the club.
