Data miner and insider Avi Thour suggested a method to speed up matchmaking in the shooter Counter-Strike 2 on social media.
The content creator reached out to Valve with a request to add the ability to stay in the queue while playing in custom modes:
format_quoteSuggestion for quality of life improvement. While waiting in the queue for Premier or Competitive, players should be able to join Deathmatch, Arms Race, or Retake modes. This can already be done on community servers by connecting via IP address, but it would be great if this feature were built into the game.Avi Thour
At the time of writing, such an option has already been implemented on the esports platform FACEIT servers. Thour also noted that waiting in Premier on a weekday can last more than 10 minutes. Other content creators, including those from Europe, have also complained about long wait times.
Previously, the FACEIT platform revealed a change on its servers for Counter-Strike 2.
