HLTV published the latest update of the world team rankings before the start of IEM Cologne Major 2026 – dated June 1, 2026. The top remains unchanged: Vitality holds the first position with a maximum of 1000 points, followed by Natus Vincere (711), Spirit (517), and Team Falcons (509).
Vitality maintains its status as the undisputed leader: the team of apEX, ropz, ZywOo, flameZ, and mezii has scored the maximum 1000 points and is ahead of the nearest competitor by almost 300 points. Natus Vincere has solidified its second place – the roster led by w0nderful recently claimed the title at IEM Atlanta.
The tightest competition is for third place. Spirit with donk and sh1ro is ahead of Team Falcons by just eight points (517 to 509). Both teams approach the major as favorites: Spirit has a victory at PGL Astana under its belt, while Falcons have assembled a roster with stars karrigan, NiKo, and m0NESY.
Closing out the top ten are FURIA (396) and Aurora (353), while below there have been major reshuffles compared to the last update. The current top-10 looks like this:
- Vitality – 1000 points (no change);
- Natus Vincere – 711 points (no change);
- Spirit – 517 points (no change);
- Team Falcons – 509 points (no change);
- FURIA – 396 points (no change);
- Aurora – 353 points (no change);
- Legacy – 311 points (up two spots);
- MOUZ – 302 points (down one spot);
- The MongolZ – 288 points (down one spot);
- GamerLegion – 265 points (up one spot).
Just outside the top ten are PARIVISION (249, down one spot) and Astralis (226). Compared to the update from May 25, the top six teams have not moved at all, while the middle of the table has shuffled: Legacy jumped from ninth to seventh place, MOUZ and The MongolZ lost one position each, and Astralis dropped from 251 to 226 points in two weeks.
Notably lower on the list – the team magic rose five spots to 17th place, Ninjas in Pyjamas gained 12 positions and are now 23rd, while BC.Game with s1mple is in 44th place (up two positions). The most significant rise during this period was by DragonClaw – up 47 spots to 72nd place.
The HLTV ranking takes into account results over the past year with monthly point decay, form over the last two months, and performances at the last ten LAN tournaments. This means that IEM Cologne Major 2026 – the first major in Cologne since 2016 – is capable of significantly reshaping the table in the coming weeks.
Recall that earlier Jerry assessed the chances of the top teams to reach the finals of IEM Cologne Major 2026.
