On July 29, 2026, Valve released a new update in CS2. New Ranked Series stickers with team locations for Cologne 2026 have been added to the game, some changes have been made to VACnet and to the latest versions of recently released community maps. Read more about the new CS2 update in the NextSport patchout.
Rank stickers with a place on the major and a strange price difference
Ranked Series stickers have been added to the IEM Cologne Major 2026 store. The stickers show the team's final place in the major, from the champion's "1" to positions like 17th or 28th.:
ValveToday we are adding a rating series of Cologne 2026 Major stickers - new stickers that indicate the final position of the team. As with all products in the Cologne 2026 store, 50% of royalties go to support the teams, players, and the tournament organizer. The initial dynamic pricing system determined the relative interest in players and teams, but did not provide reasonable prices.Thus, rating stickers have a lower price, but with the same ratio between players and teams as Event series stickers (as of today's update). Check out the new stickers and support your favorite players and teams! The Cologne 2026 store will be available until September 29th.
And yes, Valve did admit to some kind of pricing blunder. The difference with the original gold stickers is immediately noticeable. Examples can be found directly in the store.:
- donk (Gold) – 14,857 rubles, donk (Gold, Ranked) – 1,045 rubles.;
- m0NESY (Gold) – 10,931 rubles, m0NESY (Gold, Ranked) – 913 rubles;
- molodoy (Gold) – 2,226 rubles, molodoy (Gold, Ranked) – 393 rubles.
As stated by the creators, Majorovsky will be open in the game until September 29, 2026 inclusive. Once again, prices for new stickers are fixed and will not change. **Officially, these stickers are a completely new type of stickers in CS2.
Scripts and changes to new maps
In addition, the developers fixed a bug that caused scripts to not load in tool mode until manually recompiled. The Workshop has also been updated to the latest versions from Steam:
- Boulder;
- Fachwerk;
- Shelter.
Earlier, these maps were added to the game with a new update. They entered a fresh pack of cards from the community.
Anti-cheat fixes, bug fixes, and more
Along with the new patch, some bugs have been fixed in CS2:
- an error that prevented some from getting the Collection Catalog experience for The Dead Hand collection;
- an error that allowed unscrupulous players to avoid checking the VACnet system.
And yes, indeed, Valve has stated that it has improved the anti-cheat. In addition to banning some software, now many cheaters will not be able to use the twister. Thus, for collectors and those who follow anti-cheat, the new update is very useful. Recall that the weight of the latest update was approximately 2.8 gigabytes. Stay tuned, have a good game!
