Al Ahli Esports — the esports division of one of the leading Saudi football clubs — announced its CS2 roster for participation in the Esports World Cup 2026. The core of the team consists of players with North African roots: Zineddine “Lambdacore” Touat and Zakaria “zakarinh0” Benyahia. They are joined by Adel “Remind” Guermassi, Romanian Florin “awks” Enășoaie, and Polish Dominik “njuKI” Mańkowski.
EWC 2026 for CS2 will take place in Paris in August with a prize pool of $2,000,000. Among the confirmed participants from the CIS are Team Spirit, BetBoom Team, PARIVISION, and magic. Al Ahli will compete as a contender from the MENA region — this is the organization's debut at such a large tournament.
For Lambdacore and zakarinh0, EWC will be an opportunity to perform on the main stage of the season. Both are experienced players of European level, having competed in qualifying tournaments under the banners of various organizations. Now they are united by a club of a completely different scale — Al Ahli is primarily known as a football grand with state support.
