Valve has officially confirmed the map change in the competitive pool of CS2. After the conclusion of the fourth season of premier matchmaking – which will take place on July 6 – the updated Cache will be added to the rotation, while Overpass will be removed.
The revamped Cache returned to the game at the end of April 2026 and has already passed testing in casual modes. It is now being introduced into the competitive rotation – both in ranked matchmaking and on the professional scene.
Notably, the fourth season itself brought another new addition to the pool – Anubis: it was added in January at the start of the season.
