G2 Esports has restructured its roster for Counter-Strike 2. The club officially announced the addition of Artem r1nkle Moroz and the transfer of Alvaro SunPayus Garcia to reserve.
21-year-old Polish sniper r1nkle previously played for Ninjas in Pyjamas. In G2, he will replace SunPayus as the AWPer in the main lineup. According to the organization, the Spanish player remains with the club but is no longer part of the starting five.
The changes come amid G2's unstable results following the major in Cologne. NiKo Kovac's team did not make it to the playoffs of the IEM Cologne Major 2026 and finished the tournament in the group stage. The club's management, judging by the transfer, decided to strengthen the firepower ahead of the next segment of the season.
No official comments from SunPayus regarding his status in reserve had been received at the time of the announcement. G2's roster with r1nkle is expected to debut in the upcoming online tournaments of the summer calendar.
