The Esports World Cup 2026 for CS2 will take place from August 19 to 23 in Paris — and already four teams from the CIS region have secured their participation. Spirit, BetBoom, PARIVISION, and magic received direct invites based on the Valve Regional Standings ranking. Out of 32 spots, 28 are allocated through invitations, while the remaining four will be determined by an open qualifier.
Team Spirit is heading to Paris with a special motivation: the club has participated in the EWC for CS2 since its very first year, and the tournament's history remembers the victories of NaVi (2024) and The MongolZ (2025) — now the main question is who will lift the trophy for the third time. PARIVISION, after HObbit's transfer to the roster and the subsequent restructuring, sees the EWC as the main start of the summer.
BetBoom Team and magic also confirmed their participation — both teams had an uneven Cologne Major, but the invites are guaranteed in advance and do not depend on tournament results. The Paris stage of the EWC will allow the teams to gain form before the final stretch of the season.
The total prize pool for the Esports World Cup 2026 across all disciplines is 75,000,000 — one of the largest figures in esports history. The CS2 segment will receive 2,000,000.
