DotaFlow, a data miner, discovered information in the Dota 2 game files about a possible release date for the compendium for The International 2026. The community also noted a post from Robson TeaGuvnor Merritt on Reddit, which allegedly points to the same date — July 17, 2026.
DotaFlow also revealed the expected contents of the compendium. It is anticipated that the reward structure will remain similar to The International 2025, but instead of free arcana, users will be offered landscapes (Terrain Tokens). Rewards will depend on the results of fantasy teams.
Probable reward grid for The International 2026 compendium:
- Top 15%: 1 month of Dota Plus subscription.
- Top 10%: 1 month of Dota Plus subscription + 1 Terrain Token.
- Top 5%: 2 months of Dota Plus subscription + 1 Terrain Token + 50% discount coupon for ordering a physical Aegis of Champions miniature + 1 Tyrian Regalia treasure.
- Top 1500: 6 months of Dota Plus subscription + 1 Terrain Token + free physical Aegis + 2 Tyrian Regalia treasure sets.
- Top 100: 12 months of Dota Plus subscription + 1 Terrain Token + free physical Aegis + 5 Tyrian Regalia treasure sets.
The International 2026 will take place from August 13 to 23 in Shanghai, China. The initial prize pool for the tournament is $1,600,000. It is worth noting that earlier, PARIVISION support 9Class stated that qualifying for this tournament is harder than winning it.
