EWC 2026 Dota 2: group stage results — four leadersadvance directly to playoffs

The Esports World Cup 2026 for Dota 2 is taking place in Paris with a prize fund of $2,000,000. The group stage brought together 24 teams, divided into four groups of six participants. The format is round-robin BO2, each team played five series. The first places in the groups received direct tickets to the playoffs (July 16–19), teams from second to fourth place will go to the Survival Stage (July 14–15), the last two in each group were eliminated. In Group A, Team Falcons confidently won - two matches were won, one was a draw, losing only one map (5-1 on maps). Virtus.pro were eliminated from the group, having scored zero victory points. An atypical situation developed in Group B: Aurora Gaming and Nigma Galaxy reached the finish line with the same results - 2B-1H-0P, the map score was 5-1 for both. The winner of the group was determined through a tiebreaker. Level UP finished the group stage without a single victory and left the tournament. Group C produced the only absolutely clean result: PVISION won all three series with a score of 2-0 each - a final 6-0 on maps. The team became the first to not lose a single map in the group. REKONIX lost its place in the Survival Stage with zero points. In Group D, 1w Team showed a similar picture - also three victories 2-0, also 6-0 on maps. Thus, PVISION and 1w Team are the only two teams in the entire tournament with a perfect group result. IC x Insanity and Poor Rangers completed their performance at EWC 2026. Among the six eliminated teams were Virtus.pro, REKONIX, Level UP, IC x Insanity, Poor Rangers and Team Nemesis. The playoffs start on July 16 and will determine the winner from the eight strongest teams. EWC 2026 is considered the last major representative tournament before The International 2026, so the balance of power in the playoffs will be carefully studied by everyone preparing for TI.
