South American organisation PlayTime have officially parted ways with sporting director and coach Vintage, midlaner DarkMago and offlaner Frank. The move followed an investigation opened by the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) at the Dota 2 Esports World Cup 2026.
On 14 July, during the Survival Stage, PlayTime's series against Vici Gaming was halted over an integrity issue. ESIC later named Vintage and DarkMago as the individuals under investigation for suspected breaches of its Anti-Corruption Code and Player Code of Conduct, and provisionally suspended them from all its events. As a result, PlayTime forfeited the series and were eliminated from the tournament in 13th-16th place.
"Vintage (Sporting Director, Coach), DarkMago (Player) and Frank (Player) have officially departed from the team. The organisation's management was not involved in any alleged wrongdoing, and we are fully cooperating with ESIC," PlayTime said in a statement.
Frank separately claimed that his departure was unrelated to the investigation. Wits, Scofield and elmisho remain on the roster, while the carry and mid positions are currently vacant. ESIC stresses that the investigation is ongoing and no guilt has been established.
As a reminder, at the same event BetBoom Team earlier crushed Nigma Galaxy and reached the semifinals of the Esports World Cup.
