Valve has added five new personalities to "Dark Carnival." The characters have unique lines and designs themed around the event, and they can be used as part of the summer content for Dota 2.
The update was released on the evening of June 25, coinciding with the start of the season. The personalities complement the shop with chests, skins, and treasures, as well as the overall economy of "Dark Carnival."
Players and streamers are already testing the new voice packs in matches and discussing which rewards from the shop should be prioritized. A separate point of discussion remains the possible arcana for Windranger, hints of which were noticed in the event materials.
"Dark Carnival" will last until September 3. This is the largest summer event for Dota 2 in 2026, set against the backdrop of preparations for The International in Shanghai.
