LGD Gaming players Santiago "TaiLung" Olivos Aguero and Adrian "Wisper" Cespedes spoke about the role of the coaching staff in the team's success on the way to The International 2026. They gave the interview during a stream with Farit "Matthew" Puente.
Wisper specifically highlighted the work of coach fcr, who oversees the gameplay:
For fcr, gameplay is his main specialization. So, I think he has really helped us. This was evident even from our performance at BLAST. I believe he did a great job. Right now, we are playing very well on the map and overall we look stronger.
According to the offlaner, after the first series against PlayTime in the open qualifiers, fcr pointed out a key issue — the team was being too tightly pressed on the map:
He showed us what we needed to improve, explained what they were doing, because in many matches we were too afraid to move around the map, and we were being heavily pressured. That’s what he drew our attention to, and I think he really helped a lot.
Let us remind you that LGD Gaming defeated PlayTime with a score of 3:0 in the final of the closed South American qualifiers and became the only representative of the region at The International 2026.
