The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) announced the temporary suspension of PlayTime Dota 2 mid laner Gonzalo DarkMago Herrera and Juan David Vintage coach Angulo Nicho, including from matches at the Esports World Cup 2026. This was reported on the official website of the commission. The players are suspected of violating the ESIC Anti-Corruption Code and the Player Code of Conduct. Until the final verdict is made, DarkMago is prohibited from playing in tournaments under the auspices of ESIC, and Vintage is prohibited from participating in any team processes. The commission emphasized that the measure is preventive in nature and the guilt of the Peruvians has not yet been proven. PlayTime took fourth place in Group B at EWC 2026 and was scheduled to play a play-off match against Vici Gaming on July 14. Shortly before the start, the match was postponed due to suspicions of possible match-fixing. At the time of publication, it is unknown who will replace DarkMago in the lineup.
