From July 7 to July 19, 2026, the Esports World Cup in Dota 2 will take place in Paris at the Paris Expo with a prize pool of $2,000,000 and 3,550 club points. The tournament features 24 teams divided into four groups of six.
The post-Soviet space is well represented: Team Spirit (the reigning EWC champion), BetBoom Team, Team Yandex, Aurora Gaming, 1w Team (formerly Tundra Esports), and Virtus.pro. A total of 10 out of 55 players in the EWC for Dota 2 are from Russia, which is 18% of the entire field.
Spirit starts as the main favorite: Yatoro, Larl, Collapse, rue, and notme won last year's EWC and are here to defend their title. BetBoom, Team Yandex, and Aurora are three more Russian organizations that have strengthened their positions this season. 1w Team will compete with the former roster of Tundra Esports, which joined the organization in June.
Format: group Round Robin → survival stage → Single Elimination playoffs with the best teams from each group.
