28-year-old former pro Dota 2 player and current content creator Topias Topson Taavitsainen announced during a personal live stream on Twitch that he had reached 16,000 MMR in Dota 2 ranked matchmaking.
Topson's progress to this milestone was quite gradual: back in late 2025, the Finn reached 15,000 MMR, after which he continued to actively grind in pubs. Topias also shared a table of games showing that he most frequently picked Earth Spirit and Void Spirit on his way to this new rating milestone (at least, these heroes are the most frequently picked heroes over the last fifteen games).
At the time of publication, Topson ranks 94th on Valve's European Dota 2 leaderboard.
As a reminder, Topson lifted the Aegis at The International 2018 and 2019 with OG, and at TI 2024, he took bronze with Tundra. Throughout his professional career, Topias has earned over $5.9 million in prize money. The Finn retired in 2025, but the mid laner hasn't given up on Dota 2 and continues to grind through streams.
