On the night of May 7, 2026, Valve released balance patch 7.41c for Dota 2. The update does not radically change the game, but it slightly balances it by altering aspects that have affected picks and the pace of matches recently.
One of the key points of the patch notes is the vision around Roshan. Units with flying vision no longer ignore the visibility restrictions at the pit: it is now impossible to fully see information inside and vice versa. This change affects a number of abilities and directly impacts the use of smokes and control of the Roshan pit.
A strong blow was dealt to Lone Druid. In the patch, the hero's mana cost for Summon Spirit Bear was increased, and the lifesteal from Spirit Link on creeps was changed to general rules with a penalty. This reduces the hero's stability in farming and in prolonged fights.
Separately, Valve updated items and neutral creeps: cooldowns, movement bonuses, and certain control interactions were changed.
By the way, patch 7.41c became the first update after the 7.41b update. The full list of changes was published by Valve on the official Dota 2 website.
